With its convenient location between the Danube and Main-Danube Canal, the city lures lots of adventurous visitors onto the water: on a relaxed river cruise by ship. “Landlubbers” can also actively enjoy nature in and around Kelheim: By bicycle, you can discover the countryside on a leisurely path by the river or pedal up the steep Jura hills.

Hikers can head to the Weltenburger Enge nature reserve or the Altmühl Valley Panorama Trail, for instance. And downtown, you can combine walks with shopping!
