Information center in the stone cellar

The furnishings in the historic rock cellar show the past of the Benedictine Abbey and the monastery brewery of 1000 years.

Der Ausstellungsraum ist im Felsenkeller, der in den Naturfels ausgeschlagen wurde. Es hängen an den Wänden lauter Infotafeln.

The exhibition is carved in the monastery cellar made of natural stone. You can see fossils from the time in which the today's Weltenburg/Danube terrain was flooded by subtropical sea, traces of Pre-Christian times and the moving centuries of the monastery from the Middle Ages to the modern times to the current life and work of the Benedictine monks in Weltenburg. And of course you can try the beer which is brewed based on the famous German purity law.

Der Ausstellungsraum ist im Untergeschoss. Es sind einige Tischvitrinen und weitere Exponate zu sehen. Der Felsenkeller wurde in den Naturfels ausgeschlagen.
