Altmühl Cycle Route: leg Kelheim-Saal a. d. Donau

You can return to your starting point by means of the Train & Bike service by Deutsche Bahn, transporting your bicycle on board: the closest train station is in Saal a. d. Donau (7 kilometres from Kelheim). At weekends and on public holidays from May to October, you can also use the Bus & Bike “Freizeitbus” service with a bicycle trailer.

Brief Information

• mainly on a separate trail, far from road traffic

• Good quality trail surface (asphalt and good water-bound surfaces)

• Good marking with signposts and km indication (complying with ADFC and planning authorities' rules)
